Soft, breathable, can be used either as a duvet cover or as a light blanket on its own!

I just love this duvet! It's a pretty blue, it's soft, quality construction and fits perfect. It reminds me of times past. I really like it. It's covering my new goose down comforter!

I was looking for a stylish, lightweight duvet and this fits the bill. The material is good quality and is just as pictured. I am very happy with my purchase. My only request is that they should include shams.

This duvet is exactly what I wanted! My wife was complaining of feathers coming from our down comforter, and I thought this would be the solution - it is, mostly.

First of all, this provides great protection for any comforter, especially a bright clean white one like ours.

However, it doesn't keep out all of the feathers, hence 4 stars. If you don't use down, this won't be a problem for you, but.. feathers are still there, just in a smaller quantity! Wife wants to continue using this cover but stop using the down comforter.

Others reported fuzzies coming from this after washing. I ran mine twice through a full wash/dry cycle before using and have not had this problem.

Purchased the duvet cover and shams in natural. I love the duvet cover, but was disappointed in the shams. Didn't like the styling at all and they seemed small. There was no detail at all -- just a repeat of the duvet cover with weird ties. I returned the shams and decided to look for a set to contrast the natural duvet. I found a wheat colored set from Bed Bath & Beyond and also bought the bedskirt to match the shams, and a pillow to pull it all together. It looks fantastic --- I'm very happy with the final results. The BB&B shams look 100 times better than the Retro shams. And they were substantially cheaper, even though the quality is good. Here's the link to the BB&B shams/bedskirt I bought: (I bought wheat - which has a
gold-ish hue, but I bet the chocolate would also look good with the natural Retro Duvet -- make sure you get a pillow to pull it altogether. BB&B has nice ones, so does Pier 1.)

The pics online and the pics on the actual packaging for the color "natural" show a light brown/earth color. The actual item is a yellowish off white- not at all in the family of colors I expected. The quality is nice and the item seemed well made. I returned it based on color.

I love my retro check duvet! I've gotten a bunch of complements. It's pretty warm and I live in LA now but it's not killer warm that I'm sweating a night. The only drawback- I washed it once when I first got it (machine washable!!) and fuzzies are still coming off of it so I wake up with one or two fuzzies in my hair in the morning. I should probably wash it again and that would probably take care of the problem. But pretty great overall! I love the natural color too! The shams are super cute too with the 3 ties along the sides!
